Personal data is information about the personal and factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. Your personal data therefore includes all data that allows your person to be identified, such as your name, your address, your telephone number or your e-mail address. Personal data will only be collected, processed and used by us if and insofar as you have voluntarily provided us with the relevant data for the specific data collection or use, a legal provision permits the specific data collection and/or use or you have previously expressly consented to this.
We need your personal data so that we can provide our services effectively.
Website Use / Server Log Files and Access Data
We collect data about access to the site and store it as "server log files". The following data is logged:
- Time of access
- Pages / files accessed
- Source / reference from where you reached the page
- Browser, version and operating system used
- IP address used
Such storage in so-called server log files is necessary for technical reasons and to ensure system security. This data is evaluated anonymously solely for statistical purposes and to improve the quality of our website. This data is not assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person either by us or by third parties on our behalf. Personal user profiles are also not created with the help of this data. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of unlawful use. It is not possible to draw any conclusions about individuals from this data.
Communication by Contact Form
If you contact us via the contact form, the collection, processing and use of your voluntarily provided contact data such as title, first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number and company will only be for the purpose of recording and, if necessary, answering your inquiry and for technical administration. The information in the contact form is temporarily stored on the website.

If you contact us by e-mail, the collection, processing and use of your voluntarily provided contact data such as title, first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number and company will only be for the purpose of receiving and, if necessary, answering your inquiry and for technical administration.
As communication by e-mail does not take place via a secure data connection, please refrain from sending confidential information by e-mail. The contact will be stored in the inboxes of the corresponding e-mail addresses.
Online Job Applications
The application data you send us, consisting of title, first name, surname, telephone, e-mail, date of birth, as well as the documents you provide, will be collected and processed electronically by us for the purpose of handling the application process. Once your data has been entered and transmitted, it is sent directly to the server of our external service provider Google Schweiz AG via an encrypted connection. All data is encrypted on the basis of the SSL procedure.
If your job application is rejected, the data transmitted by you will be deleted automatically twelve months after notification of the rejection. This does not apply if longer storage is necessary due to legal requirements or if you have expressly consented to longer storage in our database of interested parties.

- Data from application forms or other sources for applications are not used for marketing purposes.
You can object to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes at any time. Similarly, you can revoke any consent you may have given separately. A message in text form to dataprotection@ufirstgroup.com or by letter to one of the location addresses is sufficient for this.
Newsletter
We collect the following personal data for the newsletter: title, first and last name, language, country, company and e-mail address. For electronic newsletter registrations, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure before saving the information provided in order to ensure the authorship of the e-mail address entered. Accordingly, a newsletter can only be sent by e-mail if you have expressly confirmed this to us beforehand.
We use the Mailchimp solution to send the newsletter. When we send out the newsletter, we collect data on newsletter openings and clicks with the aim of improving our content and newsletters.
Employees of our customers receive the newsletter because they already have a business relationship with UFirst and the content of the newsletter relates to the same range of services.
If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from UFirst, you can withdraw your consent at any time. A click on the link provided for this purpose, a message in text form to dataprotection@ufirstgroup.com or by letter to one of the location addresses is sufficient for this.
Content Marketing & News Subscriptions
We offer various free whitepapers and documents on our website.
We use the Mailchimp tool to send news subscriptions. When sending the news subscription, we record the opening of the news subscription and the click rate. This helps us to improve the news subscription and to send you information according to your needs.
We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending news subscriptions, i.e. we will only send you emails if you have expressly confirmed to us beforehand that we should activate the news subscription service. We will then send you a notification e-mail and ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the news subscription by clicking on a link contained in this e-mail. By completing this separate double opt-in procedure, you have given your consent to receive the news subscription.
If you no longer wish to receive news subscriptions from us at a later date, you can withdraw your consent at any time. A message in text form to dataprotection@ufirstgroup.com or by letter to one of the site addresses is sufficient for this. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every news subscription.
Cookies
When you visit our website, we may store information in the form of a cookie on the computer or mobile device you are using (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "cookies").
Accepting such cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our website or using our online services. However, we would like to point out that some functions are only possible if you allow us to set cookies.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and that store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. There are basically two different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary or permanent cookies, which are stored on your data carrier for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us to design our website and our online offer for you accordingly and should make it easier for you to use.
Which cookies are we using?
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your data carrier at the end of a session (hence session cookies). In addition, we also use cookies that remain on your data carrier even after the end of the session. When you use the website again, it is then automatically recognized that you have already visited us and which entries and settings you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lifespan 1 month to a maximum of 2 years) are stored on your data carrier; the reference data stored on our web server for these cookies is automatically deleted after the specified time has expired. These cookies in particular serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. The sole purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offer to your wishes in the best possible way and to make your visit to our website as convenient as possible.
What data is saved in cookies?
No personal data is stored in the cookies we use. The cookies we use are therefore not directly attributable to a specific person and therefore not directly attributable to you. An identification number is assigned to the cookie when it is activated. We do not assign your personal data to you. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymized information, for example about which of our pages were visited and which services were used.
How can I prevent cookies from being saved?
You can set your browser to only accept the storage of cookies if you agree to this. In this way, if you refuse consent, you can also object to the use of our cookies.
If you do not want us to recognize the computer or mobile device you are using, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your data carrier by selecting "Do not accept cookies" in your browser settings. Please refer to your browser manufacturer's instructions to find out how this works in detail. However, if you do not accept cookies, this may lead to functional restrictions on our website and online services.
Google Analytics
This website uses the "Google Analytics" service offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to analyze website usage by users. The service uses "cookies" - text files that are stored on your end device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization is used on this website. The IP address of users is truncated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This truncation eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. As part of the contract data agreement that the website operators have concluded with Google Inc., Google Inc. uses the information collected to compile an analysis of website usage and website activity and provides services related to internet usage.
You have the option of preventing cookies from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. There is no guarantee that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies. You can also use a browser plugin to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and used by Google Inc. The following link will take you to the corresponding plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Google Maps
To make it easier for you to find us, we have integrated map material from the Google Maps service of Google LLC on our website via an API. In order to display the content in your browser, Google must receive your IP address, otherwise Google cannot provide you with this integrated content.
The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR, as the IP address is required to be able to provide you with the content. In this processing, our cooperation with Google is based on a joint controllership agreement pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR, which can be accessed here.
In the footer, we link to our presence on the various social media. These are currently Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram. As the social media are only linked, no data is transmitted to the social media when you visit our website.
Your Rights as the Affected Person
UFirst endeavors to protect the rights of data subjects in accordance with GDPR Chapter III. In addition to the comprehensive information and communication obligation on this page, we draw the attention of data subjects to the following rights to which they are entitled:
